Day 1: Havana – Santa Clara
Delivery of the bike takes place in Havana the night before. Today, you will leave for Santa Clara by Viazul bus*, with your bike. In Santa Clara you may visit the memorium of Che Guevara or a cigar factory. You will spend the night in a comfy casa particular in the city center.
Day 2: Santa Clara – Hanabanilla (60 km)
Through gently rising terrain you cycle, passing through the village of Manicaragua, finally reaching the northern shore of the Hanabanilla Dam, where the hotel is located.
Day 3: Hanabanilla – Topes de Collantes (63 km)
In the morning you will cross the lake on a ferry (fee required) and enjoy the beautiful scenary. From the southern shore you qill cycle into the bizarre low mountain range landscape called Escambray. Your accommodation is situated in a small settlement on the mountain ridge.
Day 4: Topes de Collantes – Trinidad (20 km)
Descenting the southern flank of the Escambray, the serpentines allow wonderful views of the caribbean ocean. You may reach Trinidad before noon and there will still be plenty of time to explore the colonial city. After dinner, Mojito's and music may tempt you to experience the nightlife.
Day 5: Trinidad
This day is at leisure. You may use the bikes for a trip to the fisher's village La Boca, to the valley of the sugar mills or to Playa Ancón, the nearest beach.
Day 6: Trinidad – Cienfuegos (82 km)
Continuing the bike tour through Central Cuba, you will follow the coastline and reach Cienfuegos, one of the most beautiful Cuban cities. If you're interested, you may visit the botanical garden (optionally).
Day 7: Cienfuegos – Playa Girón (85 km)
Next stop is Playa Girón, situated at the bay of pigs. A CIA funded mercenary army landed here in 1961 and failed to overthrow the Cuban revolutionary government. You will cycle alongside the turquoise ocean on well paved roads, passing some excellent snorkeling spots.
Day 8: Playa Girón – Havana
Today you will leave Playa Girón by Viazul bus* and we will await you at the Havana bus terminal to pick up the bike.
Possible additional program ...
...Continuing the bike tour to Havana, Matanzas or Varadero.
...Transfer from Havana to Varadero or Playa Jibacoa with beach stay.
...Program in Havana.

* Bikes can be taken onto the bus, but have to be paid seperately when checking in (around 3 to 5 CUC per bike) - bikes cannot be registered in advance.
