Eastern Cuba10 days, from € 520,- (default itinerary) Sierra Maestra: Harsh Mountain Range |
This medium-heavy to heavy bike tour in the East leads through the scenically and climatically most diverse regions of Cuba. At the same time, Eastern Cuba is somewhat short of touristic infrastructure, compared to the rest of the country. Eastern Cuba is home to the Sierra Maestra, the Humboldt National Park and - as a contrast - to the nickel ore mines of Moa. In the far East lies Baracoa, the oldest town in Cuba and its first capital.
The bike tour follows for the most part the coastal road and leads through poorly developed rural areas. Some stages are hilly to mountainous. A good condition is advantageous! About 85% of the roads are bituminzed, but the road conditions vary drastically, as does the quality of the accommodations, ranging from solid middle class hotels to casas particulares and simple huts (campismos).
This bicycle tour can be booked starting from one person at any desired date. The itinerary may be altered any way that serves your travel wishes best. Travel guide, support vehicle or luggage transport may be booked separately depending on availability.
