Osvaldo Franchi Alfaro Roque is a truck farmer in San José de las Lajas, approx. 30 km east of Havana. On approx. 3000 m² he cultivates high quality herbs. He uses a watering system built by himself that does not require electricity. Franchi is not only farmer and inventor, but also an entertaining speaker and dialog partner to everyone who is visiting him and who shows interest in that kind of agriculture.
